We have the courage for bold ideas.
In 2000, we challenged our experts to build a new plant heated entirely without fossil fuels. On this scale, such a project has never been realized before. What was then seen as a bold idea is now standard at Sauer and applies to existing buildings that we are modernizing and new buildings that we are planning.
The starting point for this project is once again our ventilation system from project 1 as well as a clever use of the heat flows.
We wave goodbye to the burning of fossil fuels.
In winter, the cold outside air is heated to a pleasant incoming air temperature. This temperature increase, as well as all air curtains and heating systems at the production site, is achieved completely without fossil heating!
To achieve this, 100% of the required heat is recovered from the existing process off-heat from cooling systems and compressor technology and made available in the heating system.
The existing sprinkler tanks serve as seasonal heat reservoirs to cover peak loads and heat the production site during downtimes.
We realize a project with a considerable level of innovation.
The use of process off-heat is in itself a widespread practice. The level of innovation of this project lies in the clever combination of heat generation as well as heat storing in order to cover the considerable demand of the various heat consumers, even during down-times, completely without fossil fuels.
